Nokia launch Ovi Browser

Finally, Nokia officially announced that they are launching Avi browser for Nokia mobile, currently they are releasing ovi Browser for Series 40, soon it will available for all phones.

The Ovi Browser is powered by patented Internet compression technology that delivers advanced web pages to your phone. The result is that pages show up quicker than ever, plus over the air data is reduced by up to 90%. Beyond performance, the browser includes an innovative user interface that makes it easy to access your favourite content directly from the start page without having to hunt through menus.

Ovi Browser is available as a beta download for popular Nokia Series 40 phones including: 2700 Classic, 2730 Classic, 3120 Classic, 3600 Slide, 5130 XpressMusic, 5220 Xpressmusic, 5310 XpressMusic, 5330 Mobile TV Edition, 5330 Xpressmusic, 5610, 6300i, 6303, 6500 Slide, 6500 Classic, 6600 Slide, 6700 Classic, 7210 Supernova, 7900 Prism and X3.

Nokia ovi Browser is now direct competition with Opera’s Mini which has been ruining on Mobiles since 2005 and they are saying they are still number one in the browser wars, so this will surly harm opera market for browsers.

I get this from nokia news about IT mobile application posted on 1 Aug 2010. It's more interesting especially for those follower the latest model for nokia handphone. What your opinion guys?

    function OVI ni memang best but saya lum try g..dgr dr pjelasnnya cam best..skrg ni handphone dah mcm2 function,memudahkn kita & mjimatkn masa..

    itu lah kecanggihan teknologi kini..sumenya related dgn kebijaksanaan dlm IT mencipta sesuatu yg canggih terutamanya hp. terlalu cpt innovation berlaku dlm industry mobile phone di pasaran global...sumenya berkaitan dgn IT

    surf the net from handphone? it sound nice coz only cost around RM98 per month for unlimited internet but watch out for virus. from my experience, my Nokia was corrupted and sent for repair..habis semua data kena reformat..

    i love nokia..friendly user n cheaper and the usage of the application is a little bit same with apple....n the most important is, nokia is affordable to have it......

    im using nokia it is a freindly user phone, but for internet surfing, i dont think nokia can beat other OS such as iOS or Android. Ovi still far behind, but not sure though for the latest model as I didnt use the engine for quite sometimes. prob it works efficiently only for nokia.
